The Kendall Betts Horn Camp, now in its 23rd season, has improved the skills and enriched the lives of hundreds of horn players from all over the planet. The vision of Kendall Betts has blossomed into the premier summer horn program of it's kind anywhere in the world. Our campers have achieved success including winning major symphony orchestra jobs and major teaching positions at prestigious schools.
In 2016, the KBHC family tragically lost its founder, Kendall Betts, after a short illness. He is terribly missed by all of us. The board of directors is committed to seeing the camp continue well into the future. To that end, we're asking for your help. For the last sixteen years, we've been able to offer scholarships to deserving campers and we would like to continue and expand our offerings. Please consider donating a full or partial scholarship, or donating to our endowment fund to help the camp continue and expand into the future.

Cormont music gratefully acknowleges the following companies for their support.
Cormont Music, the New Hampshire non profit corporation founded in 1997 by Kendall Betts to parent KBHC, was granted full tax-exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service in 1999 and is permitted by law to accept tax-deductible donations. This has resulted in the creation of the KBHC Scholarship Fund. There were six awards made in 2000, sixteen in 2001, fifteen in 2002, fourteen in 2003, thirteen in 2004, fourteen in 2005, thirteen in 2006, fourteen in 2007, fourteen in 2008, thirteen in 2009, twelve in 2010, fourteen in 2011, sixteen in 2012, sixteen in 2013, sixteen in 2014 , thirteen in 2015, twelve in 2016 and ten in 2017. It is the goal of the Directors of Cormont Music that this fund be enlarged and maintained in perpetuity.
The purpose of the scholarships is to give an opportunity to participate at KBHC 2018 to promising, highly motivated, deserving horn students which they would not otherwise have. To that end, horn students, age 14 and older as of June 9, 2018 who have not yet reached their 27th birthday by June 24, 2018, may apply for a scholarship valued at up to $1,895 (US) to be used for tuition, room and board for one week at KBHC 2018: June 9-16 or June 17 - 24. Applicants who are in high school at the present time must be scheduled to graduate in the classes of 2018, 2019, 2020 or 2022 and must be currently studying horn privately. Adult applicants must be either (1) full or part time students who are pursuing either bachelors, masters or doctoral degrees at the present time who are also currently studying horn privately, or (2) college graduates who are currently studying horn privately. The recipient(s) of a scholarship will be selected on the basis of (1) performance ability, (2) personal motivation and character, and (3) a demonstrated need for financial aid in order to participate at KBHC.
