5/29/2009 11:04:39 AM The Person County Recreation, Arts and Parks Department will be holding registration for its Youth Football League June 1, 2009 through July 17, 2009. Below are the age requirements for this league: AGE LIMITS - WEIGHT LIMITS Pee Wee (Flag) League (5-6)- A player must be 5 by October 16, 2009 and cannot be 7 on or before October 16, 2009. Entry Fee: $25.00 resident $37.50 non-resident Mite (Tackle) League (7-9) - A player must be 7 by October 16, 2009 and cannot be 10 on or before October 16, 2009. Max Weight Limit - 125 pounds Entry Fee: $45.00 resident $67.50 non-resident Midget (Tackle) League (10-12) - A player must be 10 by October 16, 2009 and cannot be 13 on or before October 16, 2009. Max Weight Limit - 150 pounds Entry Fee: $45.00 resident $67.50 non-resident ALL GAMES WILL BE PLAYED ON SATURDAY'S AT PERSON HIGH SCHOOL. Coaches are asked to come by the recreation department to fill out a volunteer application/background check form if they would like to coach a youth football team. Deadline to turn in an application is July 10th. All parents are asked to come by the Recreation Department no later than 5:00 pm Friday, July 17, 2009 to sign their child up for football.
