It was a great pitching performance tonight by
Colin Witthun (Marlins) and Ben Heeringa (Red
Sox), but it was Ben that won the battle behind
great defense to keep runners off of the bases.
Colton Homan blocked the plate as a runner for
the Marlins tried to score from third on a bunt.
The next inning Bryce Burmania led off with a
walk, Colton Homan bunted and Bryce Burmania
scored on a overthrow. Reese Homan then came up
to bat and had a base hit over the second baseman
to score Colton. Ben Heeringa pitched the whole
game striking out 9 and only allowing 1 hit.
