Welcome to our League Website! Here you should be able to find your team's schedule. To find your team's schedule just click on "Team Schedules" on the left of the screen. Then scroll down until you find your team. For Example your looking for 5th & 6th grade Allons Boys' Team, you would look for "(56B) Allons". August 31, 2009 Coaches: We would like to thank you for volunteering your time to help with one of our training league teams. Training League can be a very educational and fun time for your players if approached with the right attitude. We would like to ask that you stress the fundamentals of the game to your players and not worry so much about winning or losing. We also think that it is important that all players are taught proper sportsmanship when it comes to behavior on and off the court. We realize that the coaches may or may not have a large basketball background; we just ask that you do your best, encourage the kids to try hard, & have a fun time in the process. Each coach will be responsible for finding a place and time for his/her team to practice. We recommend that you contact your school's principal and ask if there is a time that you could use your school's gym. If not you may have to try other venues. We recommend that you have at least one hour of practice a week. Practice can be more educational for your players if you plan ahead of time what you want to work on before you get to the gym. It is also easier for the parents of your players if you schedule your practice times in advance. Try to make sure you have the contact numbers for each of your players and make sure all of your players know how to reach you as well. Coaches are also responsible for getting their team's T-Shirts. We realize that you may not have time to get your team's shirts before your first game. Hall's Sports is a place that you can order your shirts. There are probably also places in Cookeville for you to use as well. It would be nice if the shirts were the color of your team's color, had your team's name on the front, and a number on the back. This year our league has a website. You can visit this website to view your schedule, find game scores, and to find my email address. That website is listed below along with my email address. If you have a serious scheduling conflict (not just the fact that you want to watch the Vols' Game) please email ASAP. If your game time has to be changed, 99.9% of the time so will other games and that will affect other teams and their players. So, please try to work with us as much as possible.
