Have a great season!!! Inclement Weather Field Status For VGSL (Vienna) game fields (not practice), status will be updated at 703-281-5216. If the status is not updated, call your coach. For inter-league field locations on weeknights, check on field closures by calling the Fairfax County field hotline (703) 324-5264. Towers Park and E.C. Lawrence are all county fields and will close according to county rulings. In case of poor weather on Saturdays, your coach will have all the information on game status (unless fields are closed on Friday by the county or by the schools). Umpire Notification for Game Cancellation (12 U Only) The 12U inter-league house rules call for the host team's administrator (essentially whoever's field it is) to call the umpires in the event that a game is postponed due to weather, or in the absence of the administrator, the host teams' coach. The umpires need to be notified, when possible, 2 hours before game time to avoid being charged for their time. The phone number for the umpires’ assignor is 571-329-0395. The assignor is Chris Vail, and he should answer the phone. Please give him the field and time of the game being postponed. |
