GAMES MAY NOT IN ORDER BY DATE. EACH TEAM PLAYS 3 POOL GAMES (some play 4 pool due to odd number of teams). PLEASE CHECK THE SCHEDULE THOROUGHLY.
The HOME team is listed on top under the "Tournament Events" links for your particular grade/division.
During BRACKET PLAY the higher seed is the HOME team.

Mandatory Coaches Meeting
Monday, July 9th at 9:00am at North Myrtle Beach High School (in the Aux./mini gym). This will last about one hour or so. One representitive from each team MUST be present. There is a $100.00 fine for any team that doesn't have a rep. there at the meeting. Important information will be discussed along with coaches passes and welcome bags given out.
Sportsmanship
Any misconduct or inappropriate behavior during a USBA tournament, either on or off the court will be the responsibility of the Head Coach of the team acting inappropriately. This would include any misconduct at the USBA gyms, restaurants, hotels, etc. that are affiliated with the USBA during the scheduled tournament.
Any player who is ejected or disqualified, other than fouling out, will have to sit out the next game of that tournament. A coach who is ejected will have to sit out the next game. If this is the teams last game the disqualification will NOT carry over to a future tournament. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Parent/fan misconduct WILL NOT BE TOLERATED and could result in the entire teams dismissal from the tournament. Coaches are responsible for the behavior of his/her parents/fans.
Team Check-in
Each team will have a designated check in time. Please refer to the checkin schedule posted under "LINKS" on the left side of the page for your appointed time. Make sure all players are there and in uniform. You MUST have all proper paperwork for each player (this includes a team roster, copy of birth certificate for each player, and copy of report card for each player).
Team Pictures
Each team will wear what ever color they prefer for team pictures to the team check-in on Monday. After your paperwork has been checked and each player has been interviewed, you will then go from the
main gym to the aux./mini gym at N. Myrtle Beach High School for team pictures. ALL forms for team pictures are already posted on our website under "Boys Nationals Info". Please have the forms filled out ahead of time.
Pool Play
Pool play will begin at 11:00am on Monday. Each team will play 3 pool play games before being seeded for bracket play.
If there are an odd number of teams, then one team will get an extra (4th pool play game) in order to give another team their 3rd game. The 4th game will NOT count towards your pool play record.
If you do have have at least 3 pool play games schedule please contact USBA immediately.
Seeding for Bracket Play
All teams are in one big pool. If there are 12 teams, then USBA will seed the teams for bracket play 1-12 with the best team in pool play being seed 1 and so on. USBA will first look at the pool play record,
seeding all the team that were 3-0 first and then all the teams that were 2-1 and then seeding all the teams that were 1-2 and then seeding all the teams that were 0-3. If only two teams are tied then USBA
will first look to see if head-to-head competition will break the tie. If not, point differential will be used. If three or more teams are tied then USBA will NOT use head-to-head competition to break the tie. USBA will directly go to point differential to determine the tie break. A plus/minus maximum of 15 points is first used (meaning if a team wins by 23 points they will only get a "+15" for the point difference).
If the plus/minus of 15 maximum points doesn't break the tie, then USBA will go to actual point difference. If for some reason the actual point difference doesn't determine the tie, then USBA will flip a coin to break the tie. THE POINTS FOR/AGAINST FIGURED BY THE SCHEDULE SOFTWARE DOES NOT FACTOR INTO SEEDING AT ALL.
Bracket Play
Bracket play will start first thing Friday morning. It is a single elimination bracket play tournament. Seeds will be posted ONLINE (www.usbahoops.com) on Thursday evening.
If you don't have computer access, USBA will post a hard copy on the outside walls at North Myrtle Beach High School and at J. Byran Floyd Rec. Center.
No coaches meeting is needed for this.
Contest
Wed. July 11 / N Myrtle Beach HS - 6:30pm / Grades 8th & 10th
Thurs. July 12 / N Myrtle Beach HS - 6:30pm / Grades 9, 11/12.
There will be a "hot shot" contest and "3-point" contest. Each team can enter ONE player per contest (one for hot shot and one for 3-point) for a charge of only $5 per player. You can register on the first day or through out the week at the "USBA store."
USBA Store
USBA will be selling National Championship t-shirts along with USBA shorts and backpacks during the week. The store will be open 11:00am - 6:00pm on Monday at North Myrtle Beach High School. The store will be open on Tues at N. Myrtle Beach HS from 9am-2pm. Wed-Sat the store will be at J Bryan Floyd Rec Center from 11am-4pm.
Weekly/Daily Admission Passes
Both weekly and daily admission passes are good for ALL gyms. You MUST wear your armband on your wrist (and no where else) in order to get into the gym. Passes can not be put on purses, pants, etc.
Daily passes are the same as last year: $9.00 for adults and $8.00 for students (6 yrs old - 17 yrs old). Kids 5 and under are free.
Weekly passes are $40.00 for adults and $35.00 for students. Weekly pass are ONLY sold at N. Myrtle Beach High School from 11:00am - 6:00pm on Monday. Weekly passes will be sold on Tuesday from 9am-2pm at N. Myrtle Beach HS. The other gyms will not have weekly passes so you will need to go by the high school first if you are playing at a different location.
**Weekly passes are non-allergenic bands that MUST be worn on your wrist the entire week (NO EXCEPTIONS). You will not be able to take these on and off during the week.
Coaches Passes
Each team will receive three (3) coaches passes for free for the week. You can purchase a 4th pass during the coaches meeting for $20.
A maximum of 4 coaches is allowed per team (no exceptions). You MUST be at the coaches meeting to receive the coaches passes (remember there is a $100 fine for any team that wasn't at the
coaches meeting). You MUST wear the coaches pass on your wrist at all times (no exceptions).
Late Check In Process
If a player is arriving late (after your team check in time), that player MUST first check in with USBA before playing. The coach will need to turn in all proper paperwork during the official team check
in time (copy of report card and copy of birth certificate) so that USBA can check off the that paperwork is good. That player will then check in with USBA at J. Bryan Floyd Rec. Center BEFORE
playing. Make sure a coach is there with the player to show the proper paperwork again as USBA will give the paperwork back to teams after they check in on Tuesday.
Please note that a player MUST play in one pool play game in order to be eligible for bracket play on Friday. The player must be on the official roster turned into USBA at team check in.
Signature of Scoresheets
After each game, both coaches will have a scoresheet at the scorers table they must sign before leaving the gym. This will assure USBA we have the correct score for each game. Make sure you look at the sheet BEFORE signing it and not just sign the scoresheet assuming it is correct.
Coaches Attire
Shorts, team polo or team t-shirt is acceptable. No flip-flops, sandles, cut off shorts or headgear.
Game Times
Games will start at the designated time unless both coaches agree to start early. If a team is late they will be given a 5 min grace period.
