King of the Hill Tournament Rules 2009
Every team will play 3 games. Top two teams in each bracket will play a Championship game. Each game will be Two 20 minute periods with a 5 minute break inbetween. Games are scheduled every 50 minutes. After your game please shake hands with the other team and leave the bench area .Please clean up bench area of any water bottles. Winner is responsible for reporting the score!!!
Grades 3-8
The games will be Two 20 minute running time halves. A horn will signal the beginning and end of the game.
No timeouts,
Penalties will be called on the field and the coaches shall keep the time of penalty.
Time will be kept at tournament headquarters.
A signal long blast will signify the beginning of each game.
Two short blasts will signify 2 minutes left in the game
A long last blast will signal end of the game
No 10 second clearing rule
Keep it in the box for the team ahead last two minutes
Face-offs except when team is down by 4 goals. Ball is given to losing team at midfield regardless of which team scored.
A win is 2 points; tie is one point, 0 for a loss
In the event of a tie for the top 2 teams the tiebreaker will be goals allowed then goals scored
Winning coach to report scores to tournament headquarters at tent
Nassau County Rules Apply
No long poles in age groups under 5th grade.
No one handed checks.
No man ball, you must play the ball.
General
Mouth guards, Arm pads, and shoulder pads for all players
Penalties are running time
Any fighting or disrespect toward an official will result in expulsion for the remainder of the tournament. NO EXCEPTIONS
CAN YOU BE KING OF THE HILL?
King of the Hill 2nd grade rules:
1) 8 V 8 ( including the goalie).
2) absolutely no hitting allowed.
3) penalties will be served as a fast break ( offender must leave the field).
4) Max 4 goals from any one player in a game.
5) 4 goal rule, free possession from midfield, 2 passes in the box for winning team.
6) 1 coach allowed on the field for directions, but they cannot hold up play to direct players.
7) Parents shall cheer from the opposite side of the field from the players.
8) Have fun and respect the game!
GIRLS RULES
3/4 and 5/6 grade King of The Hill Tournament Rules:
1) Hard ball will be used.
2) 12 vs. 12.
3) No time outs.
4) Game starts and ends on horn as does 5 minute halftime.
5) modified checking for 5/6 grade, no two pass rule 5/6 grade.
6) 2 pass rule for 3/4 grade,
7) 4 goal rule in effect.
8) Deputy clear rule good for all grades.
9) 3 second rule in effect.
10) parents on opposite side of team members, please cheer for both teams.
11) Have fun and please clean your sideline after the game.
12) Initial the referees scoring card at the end of the game.
13) There are NO exchanges on shirt sizes, please do not ask for extra shirts!
14) T shirts can be purchased at booth.
