Richmond Metro Basketball club welcomes all of the participants and supporters to the Boys 14 and Under,"Division II' East Region District Championship tournament.
We have been eagerly planning this tournament and looking forward to each team's participation. We know that some of the state's best, hard working and talented players will be participating. We anticipate excellent competition and outstanding sportsmanship.
To make this weekend enjoyable for everyone, please ensure that all
participants in this event are familiar with the Virginia AAU rules and regulations regarding tournaments. The rules and regulations are published
in the 2008 Virginia Association AAU Basketball Handbook (http://www.vaaaubb.net/nhp4.htm).
Tournament Bracket: This year there are 7 teams in the Division II tournament.
Seven teams will advance to the National Championship August 1st- thru 8th 2008 in Orlando Florida. The total number of teams from Division I and Division II determines the District qualifiers for the National Championships. There will be a minimum of 7 teams to advance to Nationals , so all teams participating can compete at Nationals.
The game schedule and brackets are provided for your convenience but will also be posted on the wall of the gym for easy viewing and will be updated after each game.
. Admissions: Admission ticket prices for the weekend tournament pass are $12
for adults and $8 for students ("students" shall mean 18 and under). Daily
entrance tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students. Admission for
children 6 and under is free.
Gyms and Hotels: Games will be played at the Fort Lee post field house
Located at 6008 16th St, Fort Lee Va. 23801.Please check schedule for any changes.
